Short profile

Biocyclamol has a delicate floral character centred on muguet, with a distinct cyclamen inflection. Its soft, luminous texture is accompanied by watery-green freshness and a faint metallic nuance suggestive of moist petals. On a blotter it is relatively understated; the supplier describes a fuller floral expression in mixtures and on skin, with a persistent bright character. Separate opening and dry-down profiles, and a timed account of blotter evolution, are not provided.

Effect in a formula

Contributes a naturalistic muguet character and floral brightness, with its contribution becoming more apparent in a blend than on a strip alone. It serves as a persistent floral component in cyclamen, muguet, white-flower and water-lily accords, and as a heart-note material in fresh floral compositions.

Use and dosage

The descriptive section gives 1–10% of the fragrance concentrate as a customary range for floral construction, particularly muguet and white-flower accords. Elsewhere the page applies the same range to finished fragrance, so the stated basis is not consistent throughout. This is formulation guidance, not an IFRA limit.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
The page assigns medium persistence on an hours-scale and separately describes a prolonged floral effect on skin. Its longevity rating is estimated from volatility; no measured blotter duration or controlled test conditions are supplied.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
Ethanol, DPG and IPM are reported to give clear solutions readily. The technical data also list solubility in acetone and DMSO, but classify the material as insoluble in water.
Working dilution
For olfactory assessment, use a 10% solution in ethanol, the solvent selected in the page's dilution calculator. For working stocks, the supplier lists either undiluted material or 10%; DPG and IPM are also listed as suitable solvents.
Appearance
Liquid with no visible colour.
Practical tip: Keep the material in cool storage. Assess its contribution in a trial accord as well as on a blotter, since its restrained strip impression may not represent its fuller expression in a mixture.
