Short profile

An understated floral material with magnolia and linden associations, supported by a wax-like texture and gentle green sweetness. A pear-peel nuance gives the profile a fruity dimension alongside its soft floral character. Its presence on a smelling strip is subdued, despite the supplier's report of considerable persistence. The page does not describe distinct opening, heart and dry-down stages, so a specific sequence of olfactory changes cannot be established.

Effect in a formula

Functions as a discreet floral modifier, rounding angular edges and adding a soft, wax-like body rather than becoming the dominant theme. The supplier describes a fixative action that extends the presence of more volatile floral ingredients. Its principal applications include white-floral compositions, magnolia and linden reconstructions, and rose, neroli or pear accords.

Use and dosage

The supplier gives 1–10% of the concentrate for floral rounding and fixation. Separately, its laboratory notes cite 0.5–5% in the finished perfume; this is a different formulation basis and should not be treated as an interchangeable concentrate range. These figures are formulation guidance, not IFRA limits.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
The page reports 483 hours of blotter substantivity, attributing the figure to TGSC. Test dilution and environmental conditions are not specified. It also describes persistence on skin for many hours, despite a restrained smelling-strip impression.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
Ethanol, DPG and IPM are reported to produce clear solutions. Water is unsuitable as a dissolving medium: the technical data describe negligible to absent water solubility.
Working dilution
Use a 10% ethanol solution for olfactory assessment. The supplier also lists undiluted material or a 10% dilution for working use, with DPG and IPM offered as alternative solvents.
Appearance
A viscous liquid whose colour ranges from colourless to a light yellow tint.
Practical tip: If viscosity makes dispensing difficult in cold conditions, gently bring the material to hand warmth; maintain cool storage otherwise. Assess its contribution within a trial formula as well as on a strip, since its rounding and persistence effects can be more apparent in a blend than its isolated odour suggests.
