Short profile
A cool green opening introduces a resinous conifer character, developing into a rounded balsamic heart dominated by fir needles. Compared with pine and spruce oils, its terpenic edge is less pronounced, with greater sweetness and a creamy, subtly fruity nuance. The later stages retain a gentle resin warmth as the freshness recedes. The supplier describes noticeable heart-note presence, but provides neither a projection measurement nor a timed blotter evaluation.
Effect in a formula
Provides conifer freshness with a rounded balsamic character rather than an aggressively terpenic impact. It lends lift to woody structures and a green naturalistic accent to fougères, followed by a lightly resinous finish. Particularly suited to forest and winter interpretations, fresh woody masculine compositions and conifer-based home fragrances.
Use and dosage
The supplier's main formulation recommendation is 0.5–5% of the fragrance concentrate, covering fougère, fresh woody, forest, winter and home-fragrance applications. A separate laboratory section quotes 1–10% for finished fragrance; this has a different stated basis and should not be treated as a concentrate range. These are usage suggestions, not IFRA limits.

Behaviour and performance
- Tenacity
- Reported persistence is moderate, on the scale of hours, with the material contributing principally through the heart. No numerical duration, blotter protocol or evaluation dilution is supplied for that assessment.
Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.
