Short profile

The opening combines fresh ginger pungency with a distinct lemon accent and an effervescent texture. Green, terpenic nuances sharpen the spicy character, while a warm woody undertone provides contrast beneath the brighter notes. Compared with oil from dried ginger, this fresh-rhizome quality is described as lighter and less earthy. Its freshness is volatile; the page does not provide a measured projection assessment or a time-resolved blotter dry-down.

Effect in a formula

Use it to sharpen citrus openings and extend their character, or to introduce a spicy contrast into rose and other floral hearts. It supplies fresh pungency to spice accords and an animated opening to contemporary masculine compositions. Its combination of freshness and warmth suits colognes, citrus and fresh-woody structures, with vanilla or tonka offering a route into warmer gourmand compositions.

Use and dosage

The supplier recommends 0.5–5% of the fragrance formula, rising to 10% for spice accords. A separate laboratory note gives 0.2–3% in the finished fragrance; this is a different dosage basis and should not be treated as a concentrate range. These figures are formulation guidance, not IFRA limits.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
The supplier characterizes the opening as volatile, lasting minutes to approximately one hour, with a moderately persistent character continuing for hours. No blotter-specific duration, evaluation dilution or test conditions are supplied.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
Ethanol is the preferred listed solvent, with clear solutions reported at 10%. IPM is also listed as an option. DPG may produce slight cloudiness.
Working dilution
Prepare a 10% ethanol stock for working use. For olfactory evaluation, reduce to 1% in ethanol to assess the fresh aspects with less interference from resinous weight.
Appearance
A pale yellow oil with low viscosity.
Practical tip: Purchase modest quantities and protect the oil from light and heat during storage, since its fresh character diminishes with age. The supplier advises using the stock within one year.
