Short profile
Rosy, spicy, fruity, berry-like, rose-oxide-like, damascone-like, woody, warm, plum, apple, herbal and ambery odor profile.
Effect in a formula
In rose compositions, Givescone adds fruit and spice depth and can serve as a substantial accord component rather than only an accent. It connects floral material with carnation and spice themes, while introducing warm fruit character into chypre and fougère compositions. Its reciprocal affinity with fruit, rose and wood makes it useful for adding fruitiness to rose accords or a rosy inflection to woody structures.
Use and dosage
The supplier gives 0.5–3% of the fragrance concentrate as a usual formulation range, with levels up to 10% also indicated. Trace additions can already contribute character, whereas larger proportions allow Givescone to become a principal component of a rose accord. These are creative use recommendations, not an IFRA limit.
