Short profile

The initial impression is a fresh, clean rose character recalling geraniol and citronellol, distinguished by a grapefruit accent. Rose-petal and geranium nuances sit within an airy floral profile with watery-green shading. Its transparent texture is accompanied by a diffusive effect that becomes more prominent at higher inclusion levels. The supplier does not describe a timed blotter progression or a distinct dry-down profile.

Effect in a formula

Hedirosa increases the openness and diffusion of floral constructions while modifying their rose character. It links transparent jasmine effects with fresh rose and citrus notes, and can lighten the perceived density of rose absolute. Applications highlighted by the supplier include rose, peony, sheer florals, green compositions and citrus-fruity fragrances.

Use and dosage

The supplier suggests 0.1–3% for freshening and naturalising floral or citrus-fruity compositions, and 5–20% when a projecting rose effect should become a principal theme. These general recommendations do not explicitly identify a concentrate basis. A separate recommendation specifies 1–10% in the finished fragrance; it should not be treated as a concentrate percentage. These are formulation suggestions, not IFRA limits.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
Ethanol, DPG and IPM are reported to dissolve the material readily, producing clear solutions.
Working dilution
For olfactory evaluation, use a 10% solution in ethanol. The supplier lists both neat material and a 10% dilution as working options, with DPG and IPM also identified as suitable solvents.
Appearance
Liquid, with no visible colour reported.
Practical tip: Keep the material in cool storage and assess its odour at 10% dilution. When developing a rose accord, the supplier specifically proposes combining it with phenyl ethyl alcohol and Centifolether for a more open floral effect.
