This material presents a powerful, exceptionally natural sandalwood scent that closely reflects classic Mysore character without animalic or earthy heaviness. It begins unusually early for a santal molecule, displaying an upfront freshness reminiscent of freshly sawed wood and a rosy, lactonic sweetness right from the initial evaporation. As it transitions into the core and prolonged drydown, the character turns distinctly milky, creamy, warm, and soft. Its expansive diffusion permeates the full development, retaining a clean, radiant woody profile across extensive evaluation.
Effect in a formula
Hindinol operates right from the opening to smooth harsh transitions, imparting persistent richness, rounded softness, and warmth across the entire evaporation curve. It acts as both an active heart-top note and an effective fixative, introducing an expansive sandalwood foundation to blends. It performs especially well in oriental compositions underneath vanilla accents, as well as in woody, floral, and rose structures.
Use and dosage
Typically introduced from 1% up to 15% of the fragrance formulation, while standard finished product additions often span 0.5% to 5%.
