Short profile
A highly forceful leather material with pronounced green character and earthy, root-like undertones. Moss and tobacco contribute depth, while a bitter metallic accent gives the profile a sharp, dry texture. At substantial dilution, damp soil and oakmoss associations become more apparent; neat evaluation is described as overwhelming. Persistence and presence in a blend are reported as strong, but the supplier does not document a distinct opening-to-heart-to-dry-down sequence on blotter.
Effect in a formula
Provides a defining leather character with green and earthy dimensions, allowing very small additions to shape a leather accord. In chypre and tobacco compositions, it introduces mossy depth with a bitter edge. The supplier also identifies moss and vetiver accords as useful settings; excessive addition can make the green bitterness dominate.
Use and dosage
The supplier gives 0.01–0.5% in the fragrance concentrate as its usual formulation range, with diluted stock solutions recommended for accurate addition. Trace quantities can establish leather character, whereas excess produces an increasingly bitter, green result. A separate laboratory note gives 0.01–0.3% for the finished fragrance, which should not be confused with the concentrate range. These are creative use recommendations, not IFRA limits.

Behaviour and performance
- Tenacity
- The page reports 168 hours of blotter substantivity in a data note attributed to TGSC. Test concentration and other evaluation conditions are not supplied.
Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.
Dissolving and diluting
- Solvents
- Reported to dissolve readily to clear solutions in ethanol, dipropylene glycol (DPG) and isopropyl myristate (IPM).
- Working dilution
- Use a 1% stock for compounding and a 0.1% dilution for odour evaluation. Ethanol is the supplier's highlighted solvent; DPG and IPM are also listed as suitable solvents.
- Appearance
- A liquid with inconsistent colour descriptions on the page: the laboratory section describes colourless to yellowish material, while the general description gives yellow to amber. Exposure to light is reported to cause darkening.
