Short profile

Jasmine leads the profile, with a full floral character and a creamy, lactonic texture. Peach and apricot nuances sit beneath the floral impression, accompanied by a coconut-milk aspect. Its persistence supports a heart-to-base role rather than a purely fleeting floral effect. The supplier describes medium odour strength and prolonged blotter presence, but does not document a separate opening profile or a time-resolved change in character.

Effect in a formula

Adds creamy floral body and radiance to white-flower compositions, particularly jasmine, gardenia and tuberose reconstructions. Its substantive character helps sustain more volatile floral components into the base. In osmanthus work, it connects the apricot character with the floral accord.

Use and dosage

For white-floral concentrates, the supplier gives a range of 0.1–1%, alongside instructions to work with the supplied 10% dilution; it does not clearly specify whether that concentrate range refers to active material or supplied solution. Separately, its finished-fragrance guidance is 0.5–5% of the supplied solution, corresponding to 0.05–0.5% active material. These are formulation recommendations, not IFRA limits.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
The descriptive text reports blotter persistence exceeding 48 hours; a separate TGSC-based entry gives 400 hours of blotter substantivity. Neither report specifies the test dilution or other evaluation conditions, so the figures should not be treated as a verified test of the supplied 10% solution.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
The supplied ethanol stock produces clear mixtures with ethanol or DPG. Oil incorporation is unsuitable for this presentation because the alcohol phase separates; the page specifically cautions against IPM and MCT. The underlying raw material is described as having negligible water solubility.
Working dilution
For compounding, use the supplied ethanol dilution at 10% strength. For olfactory evaluation, the supplier specifies a 1% dilution of that stock, equivalent to 0.1% active material; ethanol is a listed compatible diluent.
Appearance
A colourless ethanolic solution containing 10% Jasmolactone.
Practical tip: Follow trial blends over several days before judging their dry-down balance, since the material remains perceptible well beyond the initial floral impression. Keep the stock protected from light in a cool storage location.
