Short profile

Creamy vanillic sweetness with soft powdery facets.

Effect in a formula

Provides a persistent balsamic foundation with a fixation role for more volatile components. Particularly useful in amber and oriental structures, it adds fullness to vanilla and tonka themes. In florals it supplies underlying warmth, while incense accords gain a sweeter resinous dimension.

Use and dosage

The supplier suggests 1–10% of the fragrance concentrate for general use. A few percent can provide a warm foundation in floral formulas; oriental compositions may use substantially higher amounts. These are formulation recommendations, not IFRA limits.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
Described as highly substantive, with persistence spanning many hours to days. No blotter-specific measurement, evaluation dilution or test conditions are supplied.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
Reported to form clear solutions in ethanol, DPG and benzyl benzoate.
Working dilution
Use a 10% ethanol stock for formulation work and a 1% dilution for olfactory assessment. Ethanol is the primary solvent listed; DPG and benzyl benzoate are also identified as suitable solvents.
Appearance
Viscous liquid with a yellow coloration ranging from pale to yellow.
Practical tip: Gentle warming to hand warmth can ease handling when the material is thick, particularly in cold weather. Allow for possible slight coloration in the formula, and store away from light in a cool location.
