Short profile

Green citrus character with tart, leaf-like freshness.

Effect in a formula

Gives the opening a green citrus accent with a bitter, unripe-peel character rather than a sweet fruit impression. Its role is particularly relevant to cologne, tea and bamboo compositions, as well as restrained fragrances built around citrus freshness.

Use and dosage

The supplier recommends 0.5–5% of the fragrance formulation for cologne, citrus and tea work, including minimalist compositions. A separate laboratory note gives 1–10% in the finished fragrance; this is a different stated basis and should not be treated as a concentrate range. These are formulation recommendations, not IFRA limits.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
Described as a volatile opening material, with an indicative duration of minutes to approximately one hour. No blotter-specific test conditions or measured substantivity are supplied.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Dissolving and diluting

Solvents
Clear solutions are reported with ethanol, DPG and IPM. Alcohol containing water can produce cloudiness.
Working dilution
Evaluate at 10% in ethanol. For compounding, the supplier lists either undiluted material or a 10% working solution; DPG and IPM are also listed as suitable solvents.
Appearance
Liquid ranging in colour from pale yellow to a greenish hue.
Practical tip: Because this terpene-rich oil oxidises readily, keep containers tightly closed, well filled and protected from light in cool storage. The supplier identifies BHT as helpful for oxidation control, without specifying an addition level.
