Short profile

Opening with a clean, green-tinted freshness and a distinct geranium nuance, this material presents an aromatic coolness accented by subtle camphoraceous undertones reminiscent of rose water. At its heart, it unfolds into a full-bodied floral core featuring rose petal and delicate honey facets that lean sweeter and more powdery than traditional rose alcohols. As it settles, it maintains an understated, enduring presence that lends extended warmth and cohesion to the dry-down. Overall, it projects with modest strength yet sustains a remarkably persistent, quiet floral hum on a testing strip.

Effect in a formula

This crystalline ingredient imparts fullness, volume, and substantial staying power to rose accords that rely on lighter alcohol fractions. It offers outstanding stability in soap formulations and alkaline media, serving as an exceptional structural anchor. It is particularly valued in classic rose complexes, floral bouquets, and green-fresh compositions where persistent, geranium-tinted character is required.

Use and dosage

Commonly incorporated at 0.5% to 5% within the final fragrance concentrate, depending on desired floral weight and tenacity.

No confirmed manufacturer use level for this exact product.

Behaviour and performance

Tenacity
Exhibits medium volatility carrying the main character for hours, with an evaluated substantivity of approximately 400 hours on a smelling strip according to TGSC data.

Diffusion, tenacity and note impact are not combined into a single performance score.

Good areas of use

Rose Wardia
Geraniol 980
Geranium EO Egypt
Citronellol 95
Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol

Dissolving and diluting

Working dilution
Recommended as a 10% solution in dipropylene glycol (DPG) or ethanol for both olfactory assessment and general compounding.
Practical tip: Because of its crystalline nature, gently heating the mixture in a lukewarm water bath will achieve a clear solution within minutes, which remains stable upon cooling. For organoleptic evaluation, working with a 10% dilution is entirely sufficient.
